Can anyone please say the minimum reformer tube outage required in order to avoid catalyst milling in tubes both for Top and side fired furnaces?
How much increase in outage is expected after prolonged (1-2 years) and normal operation of Primary Reformer ?
What is the general observation while doing tube inspection?

300mm is the normal outage while loading. It should be kept uniform for all the tubes. If good catalyst loading technique and precautions are followed then outage remains within 500-600mm. While inspection tubes having higher outage would have higher pressure drops.
