cooling tower fill

Post by albino1948 »

As is known, in cooling towers, water is cooled by air.
if the air is not enough, the water temperature rises.
Designing cooling system we consider the choice of filling material a very delicate end important issue, because in dusty environments and with no clean water, the film fills get very dirty and quickly lose their efficiency.
The filling, must be able to combine the non-dirty features of splash fills with the typical efficiency of film filling.

The cooling water is dirty then CBD/IBD to be done frequently as per TDS and hardness, turbidity. The filtration backwash frequency you can increase. some time maintenance of ID Fan i.e. the angle of Fam may be increased for increasing the air flow.

I agree on the need to keep the quality of the water in circulation under control, despite this, however, the use of certain types of filling lead to a decline in performance. I therefore believe that the correct choice of filling is very important to avoid the deterioration of performance and consequently the decline of production with inevitable economic losses.
Working like turbolator get high efficiency
Very long service life even in dirty environment
Design to be assembled in 6 different configurations
Stackable in layers with different configurations
· Insensitive to fouling
Suitable for cross & counter flow process
In scattering arrangement corrects distribution defects and protects the underlying filling
In anti-splash out arrangement cut out the water bypass
