We are facing high dp issue in convertor while process parameters are normal at all beds except 2nd bed lower temperature 12C.

Re: High dp in converter.
Hi,
While difficult to discuss with lack of converter details a couple thoughts:
a. if axial flow perhaps catalyst milling or screen failure
b. if radial perhaps Inconel screen failure and catalyst migration to a location withj much smallewr cross sectional area.

Re: High dp in converter.
Good day Naseemce,
With regards your earlier concern, high so could also be an indication of sintered or fused catalyst (assuming you're talking about the synthesis converter). This could have resulted from operating the converter at a higher temperature or pressure than design for a considerable amount of time. I hope you find this helpful, because we had a similar issue with our high temperature shift converter where I currently work. Have a great day ahead

You can check all the valve control temperatures.

Re: High dp in converter.
Converter catalyst doesn't get deactivated significantly.
We have experienced high dP in converter beds only due to the failure of internals. Please refer to my AIChE paper on this.
