Ammonia capacity worldwide is set to grow with 20% over the next nine years

Global ammonia capacity is on the path to considerable growth over the next nine years from 233.85 million tpy in 2018 to 280.36 million tpy in 2023 according to Global Data report, ‘Global Ammonia Industry Outlook to 2023 – Capacity and Capital Expenditure Forecasts with Details of All Active and Planned Plants’.

More than 90 planned and announced ammonia projects are expected to come onstream, mainly in Asia and the Middle East over the next nine years.

Dangote Group, Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, and Nakhodka Fertilizer Plant are the top three companies in terms of planned capacity additions during the outlook period. Read more…
